Bitter Sweet Trip

Well I am back now in Las Vegas and I have to say that I already miss Canada. I loved seeing my Mom and my girlfriends. I also saw tons of other people that I really missed like old swimmers and coaches. I needed that break so badly. I swam like shit though. Actually I swam worse than I have ever swam while in training. My coaches let me know that too so I don't really want to write anymore than that about it. I did have a great time with everyone though. I spent time with Tai until Caleigh and Mama came on Thursday. Caleigh only stayed one day pretty much but we had a good time while she was here. We went bowling with Tai's friends and we also just messed around like old times in Lethbridge. I really missed her and I never knew how much until I got to goof around with her again. We're quite big dorks together. Tai and I had quit a good time too. She is still has perverted as ever and just being with her I fall right back into that too. She made me jealous too...and she knows what I mean by that!! I got introduced to her boyfriend too who seems like a good guy. We went and woke him up when I got there so that was fun! I also got my Timmy Ho's which was so exciting! I am so thankful to her for putting em AND lending me her car! Life saver! I miss my girls so bad soemtimes that I wish that we were back in the bridge causing shit together. Man I miss that. Well more details later...swim time.

Oh Canada!!

Well I am alomst the happiest person in the world right now. I will be the happiest when my Mama arrives. I am in CANADA!!! I can't tell you how much I enjoy coloured money, Tim Hortons and hearing all the accents. I arrived yesterday to attend the Commonwealth Trials which start tomorrow and run till sunday. I don't swim till friday so I get sometime until then to relax. I got picked up by my girlfriend Tai who's house I am staying at this week. Thanks BABE! So far I have just swam at the pool to practice but the meet starts tomorrow. I am currently making cookies with Tai and watching TV. We are going to go Rock n' Bowl...which is supposed to be black light bowling...but maybe not. Who cares I am excited to hang out in CANADA!! I am going to have a beer...JUST ONE! But then I am cut off...because I have to swim. Which is a long story about the performance I may put out...we'll see though. I have the psych sheets and I'm ranked in the top 20 in all my races so we'll see if I can maintain or at least stay within the top 20. I am so excited for the next 2 days because my other best girlfriend is coming over and our trio will be complete...but the most exciting is my MAMA!! She is coming tomorrow night at 5:55 which I will hopefully be there to pick her up..but I may be at the pool. Anyways I will see her most definately!! Okay well cookies are ready, my tummy is hungry, I need a nap and then bowling time!! Love your biggest Canadian, Norah!

Utah Road Trip

Well got back from our first Roadtrip as a team where we went to Utah. First to Provo to race BYU on friday and then we went to Salt Lake City to race Utah State. Not to build anything up and make it sound like we did good, we got our butts kicked and personally I swma like carp. I have never hurt so bad in races for such a long time. We left early friday morning and loaded up in the bus for Provo and we arrived at 10 or so. BYU was ready for us because we beat them last year for Mountain West Conference. So no real good news there. So we left Provo and drove to Salt Lake City that night whoch isn't far at all. We buncked at Days Inn and we swam against Utah the next mroning. This meet went a bit better but yet again we got beat. They rested for us as well, which I should take as a compliment but still it sucks to lose. But I have to say one thing about Salt Lake City....wow. I have rarely seen such beautiful houses that I enjoyed so much. The houses were brick and huge. The yards were so nicely maintained and everything was just fantastic. Anyways I have attached some pictures of the trip so you all can enjoy.

Yee Haw Texas

Thursday I flew out to Texas to go on a swimeet in Fort Worth/Dallas. I got chosen fof the team which really made me excited on Tuesday and I had quite a good day that day. Anyways we got back just last night and I have to tell you that Texas is the shit! I really loved the whole experience I had there. The actualy swim team of TCU wasn't so nice and more cocky and rude but the locals and people we met were so nice. I haven't come into contact with that kinda of attitude since I left Canada. I think if I had to live somewhere it would be Texas. Almost all their radio stations were country too so how can I lose? Anwyays, we won the meet too. Both men and women whoch was really cool. TCU really wanted to beat us and were being very rude about it and were being unsportmanship-like. Not good because when we kicked their asses it humbled them a lot. Anyways the meet went well and I think that they now know who the champions are. But that is exciting and now I am happy. I swam like poo though and not very well at all. But next weekend we have a double duel meet in Utah. First we race BYU in Provo and then we drive to Salt Lake City to race Utah...gonna hurt and most likely be quite a challenge. We'll see how we do though. Okay I'm out.

Oh no...november!

Hey y'all how's it going? Well for me I am so surprised that it is already november...I don't know if anyone else is. This time has gone by so fast that I am trying to stay calm as school is coming to a close and swimming is taking off. Last weekend we had 2 swim meets. On Friday we had our Alumni Swim Meet where our alumni's come back to race us...unfortuantely mostly guys show up and very few girls, but it was still an amzing meet. Oh did I mention Mike Mintenko is an alumni? YEAH!! Oh I was excited and I mostly just drooled the entire time. He is my hero. Plus Andrew Livingston was here..he's an american all-star swimmer. Ah good meet...although I never got to swim in in...yeah I was injured last week so Jim didn't want to take the chance. Plus there were no female alumni to race. Then on sunday we had a dual meet against Arizona State. They aren't in our conference but they race us for the experience. But good story behind it. Last year they came to race us and we got our asses handed to us. They demolished us with little effort and so this year we were told the same was going to happen. Well long story short, it didn't. Our men beat ASU 120-121!! Our girls, even though we lost, did not just roll over and ket them give it to us. Oh no..we scared them and we only lost by I think 20 points...which isn't a lot. They were very scared and now we are super pumped because they are a NCAA ranked team and we are not. That means that we have a very strong team this year and we are looking good! Great meet and great weekend.
So now we are in november, this weekend I hope I am going to Texas for a dual meet with TSU. Teams haven't been announced but I am crossing my fingers. The budget is limited and we would like to take 20 but only have money for 16 so...I'm a little nervous. Okay well I am going to get some homework done because this week is going to fly by and I need to use the small amount of time I have for homework. Loves ya all!
